Description

A rare very large solid sterling silver mustard pot and spoon. The pot is hallmarked for Birmingham 1947 with the maker’s marks being that of Ernest W Haywood, the spoon has the same makers mark but is hallmarked for 1938 (I figure they had a large box of them made some years before). It has superbly designed having a blue glass liner and ornate handle and feet. It is in superb condition being free from splits, dents and repairs. No chips or cracks to the liner. The pot measures approx. 4.25 inches (11cm) across including the handle by 3.25 inches (8.3cm) excluding it by 3 inches (7.6cm) tall and the spoon 3.25 inches (8.6cm) long by 0.75 inch (2.1cm) wide and they have a combined weight of 200 grams with the liner and 148 grams without. A very good quality well made impressive piece.
