Large Mahogany Office Bookcase C.1860

Description

Good quality large mid 19th.c. mahogany office bookcase c.1860. Glazed doors top and bottom, fitted with four adjustable shelves in the top (internal depth 8½") and one in the base (internal depth 15"). Simple uncluttered design with a shallow cornice over unusually large glazed panels set within raised mouldings. Thumb moulded edge to the top of the base and the plinth. Solid mahogany sides. Original brass locks, latches and hinges, the locks stamped for the London maker Hobbs & Co. Very good colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
