A very fine, superior vintage art deco solid silver Hip Flask with stylish engine turned pattern and stylishly shaped. The lid is hinged and twists to open and close, perfectly. On the base of the flask are the clear hallmarks for the Chester Assay office with a date mark for 1939 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silver maker''s mark is also visible for the renowned silversmith: Joseph Gloster Ltd. There is also a capacity mark: 1 Gill and partial hallmarks under the lid.
A super item, fabulous as a gift for any occasion, coming of age, retirement, new baby!
