Description

A beautiful large example of a New Zealand jade pendant or chatelaine fob dating from the late Victorian period, c.1890. Capped with solid nine-carat rose gold with a lovely sturdy integral bail, ready to hang on a cord or chain (not included).

NZ jade is called greenstone or pounamu by New Zealanders.

The piece is in good solid antique condition with some surface wear - the photos are taken in the worst possible light to highlight all flaws, the pendant looks much handsomer in real life!

Size: 5 x 1.7cm (two inches tall), 5.6cm total drop.

Weight: 9.8g.
