Quality Victorian Walnut Antique Glazed Bookcase on Cupboard
This Quality Late 19th century Victorian Walnut Antique Glazed Bookcase On Cupboard circa, 1890 is stamped by the renowned makers Jas Shoolbred & Co. It has a moulded cornice with dental mouldings, above two glazed doors with moulded edges and decorative brass handles. The interior has two adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two drawers and two cupboard doors with raised fielded panels and decorative brass handles. This super antique bookcase stands on a moulded plinth, has wonderful charm, character and splits into two sections for easy removal. The Walnut has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
