Large Sterling Silver Double Salt Cellar 1891 Antique 278g Victorian

Description

A rare and beautiful sterling silver and blue glass lined double salt cellar. It is hallmarked with English import marks for London 1891 with the importers mark of Edwin Thompson Bryant, it is also hallmarked with German Hanau marks for Karl Kurz. It has been beautifully designed and is in super condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and holes, possible early repair to the handle, see final photo, but it may have been made this way. It measures approx. 6.5 inches (16.5cm) across by 2 inches (5.2cm) wide by 4.75 inches (12cm) tall to the top of the handle and weighs 276 grams with the liners and 124 grams without. A beautiful and rare example.
