Description

A super quality large Swedish Norwegian solid silver Christening or Baptism spoon. It is hallmarked with the Swedish three Crowns silver mark and the date code X6 for 1900. It has been beautifully made in the form of a much earlier example being engraved with flowers and having a cast handle decorated with faces and strange beasts. It was most likely designed to be used for the ceremony then given to the child afterwards. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 9.5 inches (23.8cms) long by 2.25 inches (5.8cms) wide and weighs 84 grams. A very beautiful piece.
