Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Tea Caddy - 1901

Description

An antique Edwardian sterling silver tea caddy which has a pretty body decorated with flowers, leaves and scrolls, a lift off lid with similar leaf decoration, an attractive finial on top of the lid and resting on four ornate feet. This well made square shaped silver tea caddy of bombe form would make a useful addition to a collection and would be perfect to use. The interior has been nicely gilded. It weighs 9.2 troy ounces (287 grams).

Height: 15.3 cms (6")

Length: 9 cms (3.5")

Width: 8.3 cms (3.3")

It was hallmarked in London for 1901 by Hawkesworth & Eyre and remains in excellent condition.
