High quality German solid silver asparagus, vegetable, or sandwich serving tongs. They are hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark, the 800 standard mark and the makers mark of M H Wilkens & Sohne. I would ate them to c1910. They are highly sprung and in good working order. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 9 inches (22.8cms) long by 1.5 inches (3.8cms) across the widest point and they weigh an impressive 156 grams. Super quality examples.
