A rare Norwegian or Danish solid silver baptism spoon. It is hallmarked with the Norwegian 830 silver standard mark and a makers mark. I would date it to c1920. It has been beautifully made having a cast handle with a large bowl, the back of the bowl has been engraved 1724 - most likely a replica of an earlier piece. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 6 inches (15.3cms) long by 2.25 inches (5.6cms) wide and weighs 46 grams. A very beautiful rare piece.
