Description

A beautiful Hanau (Germany) solid silver tea caddy box. It is hallmarked with the Hanau makers marks of Gebruder Dingeldein and tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1890-1910. It has been beautifully shaped and finely embossed with sledging scenes to the sides and dancing scene to the lid. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs - a couple ofminute marks to the base. The inside is clean and the lid closes securely. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.6cms) tall by 2.75 inches (7cms) across by over 1.75 inches (4.8cms) wide and weighs 124 grams. A beautiful piece.
