Description

Fabulous Continental bookcase made from solid oak and comes in two sections for easy transportation to and around the home. The upper section having a stylish carved cushioned cornice flanked by two superbly carved lion masks with iron rings in their mouths. Below this two profusely carved lead glass doors which open to a fixed shelf interior. Mythical figures and cherub faces are carved into the pilasters on both sides and held up by two beautifully carved urns. It's base section similarly carved as the top, has a single drawer with attractive brass handle and a pair of carved cupboard doors that open to reveal a shelved interior, all doors are lockable (key supplied). In addition to its style and quality, it's gorgeous rich colouring and patina, which can only be achieved through years of love and use makes this a truly impressive piece of antique furniture that will look fantastic wherever it is placed.
