Description

An excellent 19th century mahogany library bookcase, cross-banded and inlaid with satinwood; the bookcase is stamped T. Willson, 68, Great Queen Street, London.

The bookcase has a dentil cornice above the frieze. The satinwood inlaid astragal glazed doors enclose adjustable shelves; the back is panelled. Below there two mahogany lined drawers, with satinwood inlay and brass decorative ring handles. The base has a pair of panelled doors inlaid with figured mahogany ovals, and the bookcase stands on bracket feet.
