Rare Heavy 22g Sterling Silver Rifle Shooting Medal 1940 Boxed Only 1000 Made

Description

An unusual cased English solid sterling silver medal. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1940 with the makers mark being AF. It has been superbly designed being made for the Miniature Rifle Clubs, only 1000 made during WWII, and is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, engrave on the reverse. The box is ok with just a couple of splits to the lid corners. It measures approx. 1.5 inches (3.7cms) wide and weighs 22 grams. An interesting piece.
