Fine Silver Sauce Boat by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths London 1940

Description

A most attractive solid silver sauce boat, made by the renowned silversmiths Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Elegantly shaped, the sauce boat sits on three hoofed feet with scallop tops. The handle is very decorative and the top of the sauce boat has a charming reeded edge.

A good large size and in lovely antique collector's condition. Would grace a dining setting beautifully.

  

Hallmarks and maker's marks: London 1940 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths.

  

Measurements:

Height to top of handle: 10.2 cm approx.

Width: 18 cm approx.

Depth: 9 cm approx.

Weight: 235 grams (a good heavy gauge of silver).
