Antique Victorian Mahogany Library Bookcase C1880 Wdb6064/6.10

Description

Antique victorian mahogany library bookcase and dating from around 1880. It has a cornice top with mahogany frieze above a carved acanthus leaf support to each side and two arched glazed doors with working key and internally there are three adjustable shelves. The base has a squared edge to the top above a long serpentine frieze drawer and with a carved acanthus leaf support to each side of an arched panelled door again with internal shelf. It stands on a plinth base.

The top separates for ease of transporting.

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the victorian period

Measures: 81" high X height to base 34" X 16" deep X internal depth 8.5" X 42" wide
