Silver Egg Cup with Integral Stand Walker & Hall 1902

A sturdy and very handsome solid silver heavy gauge Egg Cup with integral stand.  Plain polished silver, the only decoration being a beaded edge around the top of the egg cup and the stand edge.  Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1902, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's mark for the renowned silversmith:  Walker & Hall.  The base is also stamped 'Walker & Hall Sheffield England 48, with the logo and retailers number 51239.

 

A fabulous gift, especially for a new baby / Christening.
