Long Oak Open Bookcase C.1890

19th century
Description

Late 19th.c open bookcase c.1890. 78" long, fitted with five adjustable shelves (depth 9") arranged around a deeper two door cupboard at the centre. Note the hinged and crenelated dust covers above each shelf. Moulded edges to the top, shelves and plinth, reeded uprights and carved classical detail to the door panels. Presented as found, solid and sturdy but with obvious wear to the finish.
