A very elegant and exceedingly attractive, solid silver Tea Caddy. Splendid design, the plain polished silver body sits on four ornate lion paw feet. The hinged lid has a neat finial on the top and opens to reveal a lovely golden gilt finish to the interior. Hallmarks are visible on the back of the caddy with partial marks on the lip of the lid, for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1907, Lion Passant and maker''s mark for Hazewood & Co.
A superior Tea Caddy, lovely proportions and in super condition. Both useful for purpose and also extremely attractive for displaying. (Note the finial is slightly slanted, this does not detract from the beauty of this item and is mentioned for complete accuracy.)
