Delighful Unusually Shaped Silver Trinket Box Birmingham 1908

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A delightfully and unusually shaped solid silver Trinket Box. It is a plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing and stands on four neat paw feet. The hinged lid opens to reveal a lovely gilt interior to the underneath of the lid and a pale green velvet lining. Clear and crisp hallmarks are visible on the underneath for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1908 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also visible for the silver maker Benjamin Thomas Greening.

A beautiful item, elegantly and unusually designed and in lovely antique condition. (There is one tiny pi prick sized dent on the lid which we mention only for complete accuracy.)
