Description

A rare cased set of six solid sterling silver Boer War commemorative spoons. They are hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 with the makers marks being that of William Devenport. They have been superbly designed with the terminals being in the form of soldiers, the inside of the case lid reads 'SOLDIERS OF THE QUEEN'. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. They measure approx. 4 inches (10.5cms) long by almost 1 inch (2.5cms) wide and have a combined weight of 36 grams. A superbly designed rare set.
