Heavy Brass Standard Lamp - Early 20th Century

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a really elegant heavy brass floor lamp, dating from the 1930's, but fitting perfectly into any style of home, whether traditional or modern.

The lamp comprises of a waisted brass fluted column and circular base, resplendent with a sunburst design of long slender leaves.

I have had the whole lamp fully cleaned and re-wired by an antique lighting specialist, and fitted with a corded cable.

The lamp stands 126cm from the floor to the light fitting, so bulbs or shades would of course be on top of this. The base is 30cm in diameter, and the column is 4.5cm wide.

The shade can come with it for free if you'd like it, but can de delivered without if it's not to your taste or colour scheme!

It's in lovely condition as I hope the photographs illustrate, but it does of course have the gentle surface wear you would expect from an item of this age - please study the photos to see and if I can provide any further information or images, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Due to the size of the lamp it would best be collected or delivered in person, so I can help arrange the best way to get it to you - anything is possible!

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
