Handsome Engraved Silver Sugar Shaker Birmingham 1905

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A very handsome Edwardian silver sugar shaker. The shape is very attractive and wonderfully tactile. The lid pulls off to reveal a slight gilt wash interior. The engraving to the body of the shaker is very pretty, as is the piercing to the lid. Hallmarks are visible just below the lid (slightly worn) with partial marks also on the lid itself, for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1905 and maker''s mark for the silversmith: Deykin & Harrison.

Condition: : In lovely antique condition. (The rim of the base is slightly dented on one side, however, the item still stands nicely firm and level.)

Hallmarks: Birmingham 1905 Deykin & Harrison.
