A beautiful French solid sterling silver gilt pill or sunuff box. It is hallmarked with the Minerva head 950 standard mark and the makers mark of Charles Forgelot who operated in Paris from 1901 to 1928. It dates to c1910. It has been beautifully designed being engine turned on both the front and back and gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the odd faint mark. It measures approx. 2 inches (5.2cms) across by 1 inch (2.3cms) tall and weighs 26 grams. A beautifully made piece.
