Oak Arts and Crafts Bookcase by Shapland and Petter Circa 1900

Description

Very unusual oak bookcase by shapland and petter of barnstable the famous arts ans crafts furniture makers, decorative green glass doors have hand made bullseye panes each with a pontil snap of mark to the front or rear perhaps this is one off piece ?. Some pieces of this glass are very out of shape. Inside the glass top section are 3 shelves, below which is a drop front desk section, with a large solid 2 door cupboard in the base. All made from very decorative cross cut tiger oak this is a very solid high quality piece of furniture which stands on bracket feet and separates in two sections for transport
