Large Antique English Silver Plated Circular Tray by Elkington - 1875

Description

A stunning large antique English circular drinks tray made in silver plate by the top notch silversmith, Elkington and Co.; fully marked on the underside. Being Elkington, we are able to date the piece accurately (letter O) to the year 1875, a true Victorian example and now nearly 150 years old.

The pierced gallery surrounds an engraved decorated base with a central very regal armorial crest of a Lion, very grand!

Just back from our silversmith's workshop where it has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory.

A good large size with a diameter measuring 15 1/2" x 1 1/2" deep.
