A very fine, superior solid silver Hip Flask with stylish engine turned pattern with a rectangular empty cartouche in one corner and a plain polished silver back. The shape is slightly concave (designed this way for ease of holding in the hand). The lid is hinged and twists to open and close, perfectly. On the base of the flask are the clear hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1948 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.
