Made from painted oak in an off-white colour with brass hardware, the piece combines a tall upper cabinet with a slope-front desk and a set of lower drawers. The upper section contains double arched panel doors with brass hinges and a central latch, topped by a heavily moulded cornice. The lower bureau features a slant-front writing flap above two small and two graduated long drawers, all fitted with dark oval brass drop handles and escutcheons.
