A Pair of Antique Kurdish Saddle Bag Faces, Superb Condition, Circa 1900.

1900 - 1920
Description

Size: 2ft 2in x 1ft 10in (65 x 56cm). Each face.

A pair of antique Kurdish saddle bag bag face with superb medallion design.

Circa 1900.

The bag faces are drawn with a rustic latch hook medallion on an ivory ground, these are framed by birds heads and other tribal devices. The borders are of a linked diamond design. Note the fine checkerboard panels at the base of each bag face.

The bag faces are in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile. They are of the same colour, the pile is running in opposite directions so they look different colours in the photography.

The bag faces have been hand washed and are ready for display.
