This is a very nice pair of silver salt vessels made in France about 1850

The salt vessels are in the shape of open shells mounted on a four legged table in the Rococo style.

The salt vessels are hallmarked with French export marks (ordinance of 30th December 1839)

Large Mercury Head (11th July 1840 to 1st April 1879)
