Antique Georgian Oak and Mahogany Inlaid Floor Standing Bookcase C1780 Wdb6013/13.9

Description

Antique george 111 oak and mahogany inlaid floor standing bookcase and dating from aorund 1780. It has a short backrail to the cornice top above a deep cross banded mahogany frieze inlaid with satinwood and above two glazed doors with brass handles and ebony inlaid diamond motifes. Internally there are three fixed shelves. To either side is a turned column with inlaid panels above and below and it has a plinth base on squared and tapering legs.

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to both the oak and mahogany oozing the charm and character of the period.

Measures: 49" high X 18" deep X internal depth 14" X 51" wide
