Victorian 18ct Gold Etruscan Design Large Locket

Description

A fantastic antique Victorian 18ct gold Etruscan design large locket of a superb quality. This wonderful locket has an Etruscan revival design running diagonally across its front, consisting of a geometric bar and bead pattern. The locket has a hinge opening and the rear is plain and polished. The Etruscan design revival was inspired by discoveries in the ancient world becoming popular in the 1860s and 70s. These discoveries influenced design across the globe, often seen in jewellery of this time. A part of our antique gold locket collection.

CONDITION

Excellent. This antique Victorian 18ct gold Etruscan design large locket is in stunning condition. There is hardly a blemish to the metalwork leaving this antique piece of jewellery in a practically as new condition. The only imperfections to the locket are that one bead has a small hole and another has a pinprick hole. It is rare to find an item of this age in such a near perfect condition.
