It was made at the start of Queen Elizabeth II reign in 1952 and is now 70 years old. There are 141 pieces in total and the weight of the entire set, excluding the stainless steel knives with silver handles and carving pieces, is 145.3 troy ounces (4,520 grams). Attractive wraps have been made to help keep the pieces of cutlery clean and tidy. Two egg/coffee spoons, one teaspoon and one pastry fork have been lost over the years.
It was hallmarked in London for 1952/53 by Cooper Brothers and remains in excellent condition.
