Antique Victorian Sterling Silver and Glass Sugar Caster

Description

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver sugar caster which has a straight sided body with attractive pierced decoration and a removable lid with patterned detailing. The lid has a bayonet style fitting for added security with a flame finial on the top and the caster rests on a stepped circular foot. The blue glass liner fits snugly within the silver body and remains in excellent condition. This sugar caster is both decorative and practical and would make a useful addition to a collection. It weighs 5 troy ounces (155 grams) without the glass liner.

Height : 19 cms (7.5").

Diameter of base : 6.8 cms (2.6").

It was hallmarked in London for 1900 by Haseler Brothers.

Complimentary postage is included within the price.
