Absolutely exquisite, extremely finely crafted mahogany Georgian style fall front desk with two short drawers and three long in the main casket, a pair of lopers to support the fall front which opens to reveal nine internal drawers and a tiny cupboard door inside. It stands on ogee feet, has two carrying handles and is in immaculate condition. It could be used as a collectors chest or a jewellery casket or just an ornament. Made as a an apprentice piece or a salesman''s sample probably in the early 1900s.
