A stunning, vintage brooch in the form of a wonderful rose coloured shining polished gold beetle sitting on top of a contrasting matt coloured gold oak leaf. On the back, there is a good fastening pin with marks on the catch for the Swiss jewellers; Alopa (circa 1950''s). There is a French Eagle Head Mark on the leg of the beetle (seen in the images) indicating 18ct gold. (A further mark is also visible on the leaf stem, however, this is slightly rubbed.)
The outstanding quality of the jeweller is apparent. Great for a collector of vintage, designer jewellery and an interesting subject.
