Fine Crested Silver Christening Mug Birm' 1934

A beautifully, traditionally designed, crested silver Christening Mug. Plain polished silver, the only engraving on the mug is the Griffin Crest, with the Latin words '' Vincit qui patitur'' (translates t ''He conquers who ensures''). The mug sits on a single stepped circular foot and has a nicely shaped handle. Hallmarks are clearly visible on one side near to the handle for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1934, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker''s mark: Adie Brothers Ltd.
