Rat Tail Sterling Silver Dobree Family Crest Basting Spoon 1887 Antique 152g

Description

A superb rare heavy Victorian solid sterling silver basting spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1887 with the makers marks being FH for Francis Higgins III. It has been superbly designed being made to what it termed Old English Rat Tail Pattern and the terminal has been engraved with a thistle crest used by the Dobree Family. It is in super condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 12 inches (30.2cms) long by 2.25 inches (5.7cms) wide and weighs an impressive 152 grams. A superb very high quality interesting piece.
