Victorian Carved Oak Antique Bookcase

Dating from the late 19th century around 1880, this Victorian Carved Oak Antique Bookcase has a moulded cornice above a glazed door with working lock and is surrounded by spectacular carvings along with Lion head carvings. The interior has two removable shelves. Below is a carved moulded drawer above a cupboard door again beautifully carved with lion heads, mouldings and the interior has one shelf. This stunning antique bookcase stands on a plain plinth and splits into two sections for removal. The Oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
