Unusual Octagonal Silver Trinket Box Birm' 1913

An unusual and nicely proportioned  solid silver trinket box.  The shape of the box is octagonal with a plain polished lid having a protruding floral twist border . It stands on four neat feet and is nice and sturdy.  The hinged lid opens and closes perfectly and when opened reveals a lovely gilt wash to the underneath and a padded velvet blue lining covering the interior.  Clear and crisp hallmarks are visible on the lip for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1913 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also visible for the silver maker: William Neale & Son Ltd with partial marks visible on the lip of the lid.
 
 
 
A very lovely trinket box, in great condition, sturdy on it''s feet and no marking or dents to the silver.
