A Superb George Ist Walnut Bureau Bookcase

Description

Of superb quality, the bookcase is veneered in well figured walnut and has an arched pediment with a carved and gilded cartouche. The shaped doors with inset shaped mirror plates and the bureau with a fitted interior and swan neck handles to the graduating drawers. With carved decoration to the doors and bold ogee feet the bookcase is a very good rich colour and is an exceptional example of an early walnut cabinet.
