Unusual Patent 28320 English Sterling Silver Vesta Case 1908 Edwardian Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare English antique solid sterling silver vesta case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1908 with the makers marks being HM. Interestingly is also has a patent lozenge inside its lid which I think protects the unusual bar striker to its base. It has been superbly engraved with the entwined initials KW or WK. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the odd faint mark, the inside is clean and the spring strong. It measures approx. 1.5 inches (4.3cms) square and weighs 31 grams. A super quality more unusual example.
