Description

A rare English antique solid sterling silver military vesta case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1916 with the makers marks being those of A & J Zimmerman.. It has been superbly designed being engraved with the insignia of the 7th Duke of Wellington West Riding Regiment which I think were heavily involved in World War One at this time. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the spring strong. It measures approx. 1.5 inches (4cms) square and weighs 38 grams. A super quality rare piece.
