A rare English solid sterling silver fish slice server. It is hallmarked for London 1846 with the makers mark being ILHL for John & Henry Lias. It has been superbly made having a fiddle pattern handle and has been unusually pierced and engraved with a merman? The handle has been engraved with initials. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs - slight wave along the edge. It measures approx. 11.5 inches (29cms) long by 2.75 inches (6.8cms) wide and weighs 134 grams. A high quality very unusual example.
