A stunning solid silver heart shaped trinket dish with beautiful repousse decoration of birds, scrolls and the green man with charming frilled edges. There is a vacant cartouche with scroll border in the centre.
Clear hallmarks are visible for the London Assay office with a date mark for 1896, Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver and the silver maker''s mark: William Comyns & Sons.
