Exceptional William IV Silver Vinaigrette With Chain

An exceptionally pretty silver William IV Vinaigrette, fully hallmarked on the underside of the lid for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark of 1832 and silver maker''s mark: Thomas Shaw. Hallmarks are also visible beneath the grill. This superb Vinaigrette is beautifully decorated to both the front and the back. The front bears light initials in the centre ''RH to MB'', and the back is decorated with a floral pattern. The grill is particularly outstanding in its pattern design, featuring a heart in the centre adorned with swirls and is gilded, which further enhances the appearance. The lid is hinged and has protruding openers to enable ease of opening. There is a chain attached.
 
 
 
This is a beautiful item - ideal for a collector of very fine Vinaigrettes, and particularly attractive due to pattern design and grill.
 
 
 
Condition: In great antique collector''s condition.
