A superior and very lovely, large size Victorian silver Mustard Pot. In cylindrical form the Pot is beautifully decorated with bright cut engraved flowers and pineapples and scrolls. There is a lightly engraved initial on the lid ''S''. It sits on an applied rimmed foot and has a pretty ornate pierced thumbpiece and double scroll handle on one side. Inside is the original blue glass liner. On one side of the Pot are the clear hallmarks for London 1840, along with the Lion Passant and silver maker''s marks: Charles Fox II. Partial marks are also visible on the inside of the lid.  This is an exceptional Mustard Pot beautifully decorated and a good heavy gauge silver. The craftmanship of the silversmith is evident!
