Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes to reveal clear hallmarks visible on the inside lip for the Chester Assay Office, with a date mark for 1913 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the makers mark: W J Myatt & Co. There is a good fastening loop to one side.

A most attractive Vesta, nicely proportioned an exceptionally engraved to the silver.
Condition: This vesta is lovely to hold in the hand, being nicely shaped. It is in lovely condition. (Some very light surface scratching to the empty cartouch commensurate with age and mentioned for accuracy only.)
