Fine Heavy Gauge 10" Silver Salver Birmingham 1936

A particularly fine and beautifully formed, 10 inch diameter, solid silver Salver/ Card Tray. This Salver is of the finest quality workmanship. It''s wavy circular form with gadrooned border is particularly attractive. It has no engravings or embossing and is a lovely plain polished silver. It stand solidly and sturdy on three very attractive hoof feet . Hallmarks, along with the Lion Passant (indicating sterling silver) can be clearly seen underneath for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark 1936 along with the maker’s marks for the silver maker: Elkington & Co Ltd.
 
 
 
An exceptional and stylish Salver . Would make a wonderful gift or could be used as a presentation trophy! It is also a great heavy gauge of silver (584 grams).
 
  
 
Condition: In lovely condition, no dings to the silver.
