Superb Art Deco Silver Mounted Scent Bottle Birm 1920

A very stylish art deco glass and silver scent bottle. The body of the glass scent bottle has a iconic deco stripy pattern running in vertical lines. The gorgeous silver lid is hinged on one side and is decorated with an engine turned design to the top and when opened reveals the original glass stopper. Hallmarks are clearly visible around the collar for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1920, lion passant indicating the finest sterling silver and silver maker''s mark: ES Barnsley & Co. The underneath of the bottle is engraved with a lovely star shape.
An exceptional scent bottle
Condition: In lovely condition to both the glass and the silver and including the original stopper that bears no chips or nibbles.
Hallmarks: Birmingham 1920 by E S Barnsley & Co.
Measurements: Height: 11.5 cm Diameter width of bottle at widest part: 9.1 cm
